Oyo South East LCDA was carved out from Oyo East Local Government Kosobo, Oyo on October 6, 2017 under the leadership of senator Abiola Ajimobi, the then Executive Governor of Oyo State. The council headquarter is located at G. R. A Apitipiti Area,Oyo.
The major occupation of the inhabitant of the L.C.D.A is farming, trading, and artisans. There are 128 villages that surrounded the Local Council Development Area
